Recent reports by Twitter show that an OxygenOS 13 upgrade causes a green line on a variety of OnePlus devices. These include the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9R – which is basically the entire company’s range of eligible devices for the OxygenOS 13. The OnePlus 10 Pro appears to be the clear choice.
Although it is not clear from reports whether the issue occurs right after the OxygenOS version is updated or if it takes a while, it is obvious that there is a connection between the OxygenOS version and the problem.
User reports indicate that the green line is visible even if the device isn’t dropped, water-damaged, mishandled or otherwise damaged. That’s quite strange. Another observation was that all complaints seem to be from Indian owners. This could also be because OnePlus is so popular in India.
At this time, there are no known workarounds for the green-line issue. Some users may say that it is sporadic, but green lines are almost always hardware-related issues and are often permanent. If the problem persists, it is best to bring the device to the service centre. You should receive a replacement display for under-warranty units free of charge, while out-of warranty units may require your assistance.
